Well, An acrostic is a poem that consists that each line starts with each letter of a word that is the topic of the poem:
For exaplme:

An acrostic poem
Can be about anything
Really,
Of course. Same people like to
Start each line as a sentence
Thought
I prefer wearing words into
Creation that becomes more freeform.

The word 'Acrostic' is the topic of the acrostic because each line starts with a letter of the word 'Acrostic'.
